![]() ![]() I've been struggling with this for a long time, and if it isn't very bright in the room I can't see the keys. There is nothing visibly wrong with the ribbon/cable, so I'm at a loss right now.Īny assistance would be very appreciated. I have tried flipping it over in case I inserted it incorrectly when i put it back in after working on the touchpad, but neither orientation gives me a working backlight. I have checked the small cable/ribbon to from the keyboard to the motherboard and it appears to be secure. It does not flash during startup, and Fn + F4 shows that the brightness is to the max, but there is actually no keyboard light at all. When I put my keyboard back in place the keyboard backlight no longer worked. That worked perfectly for fixing the touchpad isssues. I was at my last resort, which was to do what others have done and remove the sticky tape from the bottom of the touchpad. I have downloaded all the drivers, updated BIOS, ATK package, KB filter, but the touchpad problem still persisted. Missing keystrokes and a very erratic touchpad. First I would like to say that I'm disappointed with all the issues that I had when I received my G73JW about 2 years ago.
